I’m a leader and technical strategist with expertise in cloud-native architecture, patterns, and practices who thrives in interdisciplinary and cross-group settings. My background spans compilers to clouds with contributions in development, test, support, and research roles. I have deep experience in storage, virtualization, distributed systems, and operating systems. In recent years I’ve focused on Kubernetes, service meshes, and tools that make developers grin and delivery pipelines predictable.
I am collaborative in my approach to solving business challenges and have demonstrated success in customer-facing roles. The teams I build are open, diverse, and inclusive, and I am proud to foster a culture of continuous learning and kindness.
I am passionate about the evolution of open source. In 2020 I established and launched the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Observability. I drafted the initial charter and presently serve as a co-chair for CNCF TAG Observability. Join us!
I've recently joined Apple's Open Source Program Office (OSPO, opensource.apple.com).
